可是，泰戈尔出生在加尔各答佐拉桑郭大院，他的母语是孟加拉语，他的写作语言也是孟加拉语。 拉宾德拉纳特·泰戈尔，（1861~1941）印度著名诗人、作家、哲学家、艺术家和社会活动家。

泰戈尔是具有巨大世界影响的作家。他共写了50多部诗集，被称为"诗圣"。

写了12部中长篇小说，100多篇短篇小 说，20多部剧本及大量文学、哲学、政治论著，并创作了1500多幅画，诸写了难以统计的众多歌曲。文、史、哲、艺、政、经范畴几乎无所不包，无所不精。

他的小说诗歌文学作品反映了印度人民在帝国主义和封建种姓制度压迫下要求改变自己命运的 强烈愿望，描写了他们不屈不挠的反抗斗争，充满了鲜明的爱国主义和民主主义精神，同时又富有民族风格和民族特色， 具有很高艺术价值，深受人民群众喜爱。 扩展资料： 飞鸟集（泰戈尔诗集之一）由105段诗歌组成。

2. 蔡廷干的其他信息

1923年（民国十二年）修订关税工作基本结束，蔡廷干被任为“整理国内外债务委员会”成员，6月30日被任为“筹备特别关税会议”委员会主任。1925年10月26日，“国际特别关税会议”在北京召开，蔡廷干、王宠惠、颜惠庆、王正廷、施肇基、黄郛、莫德惠等十三人组成中国代表团。会议中，诸代表据理力争，使中国获得合理的国际税务工作权益，由于“直奉之战”和北洋政府的人事更选而暂停。1926年杜锡珪内阁成立，蔡廷干担任了外交总长，杜辞职后，蔡一度代理内阁总理一职，任内没有作为。在国际关税会议复会时，蔡廷干争得与会国际代表一致同意“中国关税应由中国自主”后，便辞去部分政府工作，只留任“税务督办”一职，1927年5月，北京政府发生财政恐慌，蔡氏遂辞职到大连隐居，从此退出政坛。蔡在大连，对外界接触仍为频繁，但对日本人多为抵制，期间对日本领事、商人及在大连度假的日方显要人物的邀请，则断然拒绝。

“九一八”事变后，蔡廷干从大连回北平定居。由于蔡氏的中国古典文学根底深厚，美国的八年留学中又潜心钻研英文文法，在中英文的造诣极深，而一生中大部份时间都从事涉外工作，在口才、谈吐、词锋各方面表现出老练稳健。晚年他除了不时应清华、燕京两大学的邀请以《中国文学》为题材作客座教授专题讲课外，其余时间便以其熟练深究的英文文法将一批中国古典文学名著用英语译注。其中已经成书的有《老解老》（英语译注老子道德经）及《唐诗英著》。该书由芝加哥大学出版社于1932年出版，书名是《用英文韵脚翻译的中国诗》。两本译本都曾经在“圣路易博览会”展出，获得国际文学界的好评。其他未成书的有英译《阅微草堂笔记》、《红楼梦选篇》，在中文方面有《古君子》及《大东诗选》等。由于蔡氏在文事武功，均有卓越的成就，是以在当年上流社会中冠以“儒将”之称。1935年9月20日，蔡廷干病逝于北平。
