Whether we are in school or at work we always need to attend meetings which could varies in topics. If you want to cnotribute to the meetings you attend, it is recommended that you follow below rules.

First do your research and always get yourself prepared. You will normally get a notice in advance about the time and topic or the meeting. If you can prepare for the topic you will be more confident to present in the meeting and respond to other more quickly.

Second speak out your opinion clearly with support documents you have gathered from your research. If you keep silent you will not make much contribution to the meeting. Even if your view turns out to be not exactly correct later, you may still inspire other people to think more on the topic.

Third listen to others carefully. You need to express your view but you also need to actively listen to other people in the meeting. You need to compare and contrast different opinions so other attendees can also benefit from the meeting.

You will be regarded as a good contributor to the meeting if you could do above.
