the most important ting in lifeWhen I was a little girl, in the summer vacation in 2008, I went to my mother's hometown , Tangshan. After I got there, at first I stayed at my uncle's home . I was very happy in my uncle's home because my uncle had a daughter who is older than I. She often took me to visit some places. We spent ten days happily. I remember just on the tenth day there was a big earthquake. It happened about three o'clock in the morning when I was dreaming. I woke up to find myself under a heap of rocks . I couldn't move. I didn't, in fact , know anything about what was happening until my uncle saved me from the rubble.During the earthquake most of the houses fell down. We set up many tents to live in and received a lot of food from every city in our country. They helped us to tide over those hard days. I think if we hadn't lived in New China we couldn't have survived the big earthquake. I am very lucky and so are my uncle's familystudy tips for successFirst, talk your needs over with your teacher.Sometimes teachers can give you more useful suggestions and help you improve your grades quickly. Second, listen to the teacher carefully in the class and take detailed notes so as to review after class more conveniently. Third,do your homework at once after school. It can help you find where you don't really understand. Fourth,be confident of yourself.Maybe your grades are not the best in your class, but that's ok.Just work hard in right ways, and you will finally find you succeed! 还有一个I have thought about it for a long time.I have ever thought that the career was the most important things in my life in the past few years. My heart was filled with ambitions and confidence. I run to my goal, though it's far away from me. I just believe I can get it. For the past 3 years,I stand on the stage, taking part in the evening parties and show the smile to all the people. I am happy with what I get. More and more people pay attention to me and remenber my name. I thought that's what I wanted.Yes,indeed,I need the reputation. It is important. But , can you stand on the top of the mountain for the hole life? Maybe I can stand on the CCTV one day in the future. So what ?Then I start to think about a brief life. I want to travel around the world, never consider others.I've always dreamt of a life in fishing village. Look at the sea in the morning everyday. Just enjoy the life. Then,My boyfriend broke up with me recently.I've done much I could to rescue. But ,it's useless.I learn that there are many things you cannot change no matter how you insist. You may lose something forever all of a suddent.I thought of my mum,my dad----my family. They always care for me.I kown, they will not ask for how successful I would be,but just consider whether I am happy.I want to go home.I want to stay with them.I kown what the most important is.选一个吧。

I think live in the country is better than in the city. What are the differences between city life and country life? When we talk about the city life, we will surely think of tall build-ings, busy streets, flourishing bussinesses and a great many ad-vanced pieces of equipment. What about the country life? The first feeling coming into our minds is peace and quiet. In the country-side , people live a quiet life. They have less noise and pollution than people who live in the city. City life and country life, which is better? The answer is not certain. People who live in the country want to be city people. In their thoughts, city is full of chance and adventure. Today many country youth leave their hometown for big cities in search of a lot of money and good jobs. With the development of industry, more and more pollution is coming out in cities. Citizens have to put up with noise, harmful smoke and dirt. The air is not clean enough for people, especially in the downtown areas. The majority of citizens are tired of overcrowded conditions and bad environments. But in the country, the condition is obviously different. It is pleasant to live with green mountains, clear springs and grand plains. Blue sky, green trees, red sunsets and golden crops. Wow! What a lovely picture! So at present, more and more citizens are eager to escape from the city. In the old days, there was a clear difference between city and countryside. But now some countries look like modern cities, while some cities are as beautiful as the countryside. If we pay attention to protecting the environment while we are developing industry, the city can also have the advantages of the countryside. And we shouldn't forget to develop the country-side. If so, we, the city people or country people, will enjoy both modem and peaceful lives!。

    5.莱温斯基ted演讲英文版

The price of shame0:11 You're looking at a woman who was publicly silent for a decade. Obviously, that's changed, but only recently. 0:22 It was several months ago that I gave my very first major public talk at the Forbes 30 Under 30 summit: 1,500 brilliant people, all under the age of 30. That meant that in 1998, the oldest among the group were only 14, and the youngest, just four. I joked with them that some might only have heard of me from rap songs. Yes, I'm in rap songs. Almost 40 rap songs. (Laughter) 0:57 But the night of my speech, a surprising thing happened. At the age of 41, I was hit on by a 27-year-old guy. I know, right? He was charming and I was flattered, and I declined. You know what his unsuccessful pickup line was? He could make me feel 22 again. (Laughter) (Applause) I realized later that night, I'm probably the only person over 40 who does not want to be 22 again. (Laughter) (Applause) 1:46 At the age of 22, I fell in love with my boss, and at the age of 24, I learned the devastating consequences. 1:58 Can I see a show of hands of anyone here who didn't make a mistake or do something they regretted at 22? Yep. That's what I thought. So like me, at 22, a few of you may have also taken wrong turns and fallen in love with the wrong person, maybe even your boss. Unlike me, though, your boss probably wasn't the president of the United States of America. Of course, life is full of surprises. 2:35 Not a day goes by that I'm not reminded of my mistake, and I regret that mistake deeply. 2:44 In 1998, after having been swept up into an improbable romance, I was then swept up into the eye of a political, legal and media maelstrom like we had never seen before. Remember, just a few years earlier, news was consumed from just three places: reading a newspaper or magazine, listening to the radio, or watching television. That was it. But that wasn't my fate. Instead, this scandal was brought to you by the digital revolution. That meant we could access all the information we wanted, when we wanted it, anytime, anywhere, and when the story broke in January 1998, it broke online. It was the first time the traditional news was usurped by the Internet for a major news story, a click that reverberated around the world. 3:51 What that meant for me personally was that overnight I went from being a completely private figure to a publicly humiliated one worldwide. I was patient zero of losing a personal reputation on a global scale almost instantaneously. 4:14 This rush to judgment, enabled by technology, led to mobs of virtual stone-throwers. Granted, it was before social media, but people could still comment online, email stories, and, of course, email cruel jokes. News sources plastered photos of me all over to sell newspapers, banner ads online, and to keep people tuned to the TV. Do you recall a particular image of me, say, wearing a beret? 4:52 Now, I admit I made mistakes, especially wearing that beret. But the attention and judgment that I received, not the story, but that I personally received, was unprecedented. I was branded as a tramp, tart, slut, whore, bimbo, and, of course, that woman. I was seen by many but actually known by few. And I get it: it was easy to forget that that woman was dimensional, had a soul, and was once unbroken. 5:40 When this happened to me 17 years ago, there was no name for it. Now we call it cyberbullying and online harassment. Today, I want to share some of my experience with you, talk about how that experience has helped shape my cultural observations, and how I hope my past experience can lead to a change that results in less suffering for others. 6:09 In 1998, I lost my reputation and my dignity. I lost almost everything, and I almost lost my life. 6:23 Let me paint a picture for you. It is September of 1998. I'm sitting in a windowless office room inside the Office of the Independent Counsel underneath humming fluorescent lights. I'm listening to the sound of my voice, my voice on surreptitiously taped phone calls that a supposed friend had made the year before. I'm here because I've been legally required to personally authenticate all 20 hours of taped conversation. For the past eight months, the mysterious content of these tapes has hung like the Sword of Damocles over my head. I mean, who can remember what they said a year ago? Scared and mortified, I listen, listen as I prattle on about the flotsam and jetsam of the day; listen as I confess my love for the president, and, of course, my heartbreak; listen to my sometimes catty, sometimes churlish, sometimes silly self being cruel, unforgiving, uncouth; listen, deeply, deeply ashamed, to the worst version 。

    6.【急需一篇英语演讲稿mymother】

1.Hello! My name is Zeng Liyan. Look! It's a picture of myself. Don't you think I'm very confident(自信的)? OK! Let me get down to business(言归正传). Today I want to say something about my dear mother. My mother is a beautiful woman. Her hair is very long. Her eyes are not big and not small. She usually wears a white sweater and a pair of black trousers. My mother likes noodles and vegetables. She likes fish, too. My mother is a worker. She often wins praises for(因……赢得称赞) her hard work. This is my dear mother. I love her very much. 2.My Mother Mother was my first teacher and is my dear friend. When I was a little girl, I used to sit on my mother's knees, listening to his stories. The story “Two friends and a Bear” told me “ a friend in need is a friend indeed.” I will never forget the story “Madame Curie” which tells me a truth “where there is a will, there is a way.” Mother's stories enriched my life and did a lot of good to my growth. When I was seven years old, I started primary school. I was young, so my mother picked me up from school every day. On the way, I told mother everything that happened at school. Mother listened carefully and always smiled happily. Sometimes I sang a beautiful song. My sweet and lovely voice gave my mother the greatest pride. My mother is always proud of me. He hopes I will make great progress in my study. Now I have made up my mind to study harder and harder. I'm sure my mother's love will lead me to my success and I will love him forever!。
