)I'm going to try to back it up!The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said:“There are no languages required in a music world。That is the power of music and that's the power of the heart。
Through this promotion of arts we can better understand the culture and civilizations of the other people。In this era ofinstability and intolerance we need to promote better understanding through the power of music。”
The UN Secretary General thinks we need more music,and I think he's right。Music and arts have always played the key role in my life,in building relationships,replacing what once was ignorance fearing of hatred with acceptance,friendship and even love。
So I have strong case for growing in music between cultures because it happened to me earlier in life。I was born and raised up in New York,barely spoke a word of Chinese。
I didn't know the difference between Taiwan and Thailand。(laughing。
)I was American as。
until one day on a third grade playground,the inevitable finally happened。I got teased for being Chinese。
Every kid just teased for making fun on the playground,but this was fundamentally different and I knew it right then and there。Thiskid,let's call him Brayan the Cowboy。
He started making fun for me,saying“Chinese,Japanese,Dirty kneess,Look at these!”(laughing…)The kids started laughing at me and it hurts!I can still remember how I can felt,I felt shamed,I felt barrased,but I laughted along with them,with everybody。I didn't know what else to do。
I was like having out-body experience,as if I could laugh at that Chinese kid on the playground with all the other American kids because I was one of them。Right?Wrong!On many levels。
And I was facing first but definitely not the last time the harsh reality that I was minority。In Rochester,which in those ages Asian population was about 1%。
And I was confused。I wanted to punch Bryan,I wanted to hurt him for hunting me in that situation。
But he was masculine,stronger than me and he will kick my butt and he would do that so I just took it in。And I didn't tell anyone with these feelings and I just held them in and let them repressed.Those feelings trough surface in a strangely therapeutically for me through music。
It was no coincident that around that time I started paly violion,guitar and drums,I soon discovered that playing music or singing,other kids would,for a brief moment,forget about my race of colour and they be able to see who truly I am,as a humanbeing who's emotional spiritual curious about the world and has a need for love just like everyone else。And by the sixth grade,guess who asked me if I could join him for his band。
(Bryan)Bryan!I said yes and that's Bryan and me together,from the elementary school rock band called“Nirvana”(laughing)I'm not kidding,I was a rock band called“Nirvana”before Kurt Cobain's band。So when Nirvana came out,Bryan and I were like:Hey,he's stealing our name!What really attracted to me is that music at this young age and still I love about it is that it breakes down the walls between us and show us so quickly the truth that we are much more alike than we are different。
Then in high school,I learnt that music was not just about connecting with others,like Bryan and I were connected through music。It was a powerful tool of influence and inspiraton。
Sam Nguyen was my high school janitor。He was an immigrant from Vietnam who barely spoke a word of English。
Sam swept the floors and cleaned the bathroom of our school for twenty years。He never talked to the kids and the kids never talked to Sam。
But one day,before the opening night before our school's annual,he walked up to me and holding a letter。I was taken to the back and I was thingking;why Sam the janitor would approaching me?He gave me this letter that I was draw off in a shaky hand and written in all capitals,and I read it:In all my years of working as a janitor at Sutherland,you are the first Asian boy who plays the rock,I will bring my six-year-old daughter to watch y。

Leehom Wang (born May 17, 1976) is an American-born singer-songwriter, record producer, actor and film director of Chinese descent based in Taiwan. Formally trained at the Eastman School of Music, Williams College and Berklee College of Music, his musical style is known for fusing Chinese elements (such as Beijing opera, traditional styles of ethnic minorities, Chinese classical orchestra) with hip-hop and R&B. Wang Leehom has been active since 1995 and contributed in 25 albums. He is also a four-time winner of Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards, the "Grammys" of Chinese music.In addition to his music, Wang Leehom also acted in several films, including Ang Lee's Lust, Caution and Jackie Chan's film Little Big Soldier. He is also an environmental activist, and his album Change Me was dedicated to raising eco-awareness among Chinese youth. Wang Leehom was one of the first torchbearers for the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, and performed in the Olympics' closing ceremony in Beijing. Wang Leehom is ranked Number 76 on the Goldsea compilation of "The 100 Most Inspiring Asian Americans of All Time".Wang Leehom's music ranges greatly from album to album. Although he is classified as an R&B artist, Wang Leehom demonstrates competence with many styles of music ranging from traditional Mandopop, Broadway, jazz, rock, R&B, gospel, acoustic, Indipop, hip-hop, to rap. Many of the styles are infused with a Chinese flavor.When he first debuted, he sang old school pop and acoustic R&B ballads. Starting from Revolution (公转自转), Wang began to test out R&B pop music, but quickly jumped to a quirky style of dance pop for Impossible to Miss You (不可能错过你). Starting from Forever's First Day (永远的第一天), Wang Leehom began composing rock songs with heavy electric guitar melodies and less emphasis on dance pop. Nonetheless, Wang Leehom still concentrated in light R&B music. The One and only (唯一) became Wang Leehom's only fully produced rock album.Unbelievable began a new road of music for Wang Leehom. Aside from the usual R&B grove, Wang Leehom contributed hip hop and rap that was not clearly emphasized in his past albums. "Not Your Average Thug" was a newly composed R&B style with a huge amount of American influence. "Can You Feel My World" was a different style of R&B, and the song contained great uses of the piano and violin as the accompaniment. Fast dance songs like "Ya Birthday" and "Girlfriend" (Chinese: 女朋友; pinyin: nǚ péngyǒu) incorporated rapid rap and heavy drum rhythms. "Girlfriend" included a heavily emphasised chinese flute and a music style that is influenced by Indipop.Shangri-La was the first chapter of Wang Leehom's new style, chinked-out. Chinked-out is a new kind of musical style developed by Wang that involves modern "west" music of R&B, Hip Hop, rap, and Dance, along with "east" music of heavy Chinese instrument influences, more notably the koudi, tuhu, and ijac. "Deep Within the Bamboo Grove" (traditional Chinese: 竹林深处; pinyin: zhú lín shēnchù) emphasized the music of different minority tribes in Yunnan and other remote areas of China.。

你说的是从80年代开始一直到2000年 尤其是香港歌手 基本以翻唱日本歌曲为主但现在反过来了 好多日本和东南亚地区歌手都翻唱周杰伦的歌曲 而天朝现在的歌手也没多少去以翻唱为主唱歌了这在我看来很正常 并且人家是买了版权的 但全靠翻唱的歌手 自己没什么才华 这种人那就混不到顶级歌手的地步了 同样日本歌手在80年代到2000年创作出来的好作品很多 被人追捧也正常 而现在中国歌手创作的作品多 他们一样翻唱唯一要说的就是韩国了 实在没多少拿出手的作品 别说以前了 以后也不会有多少歌手翻唱韩国的歌曲 韩国那些歌手跳舞确实比中国的强 但唱歌就算了吧 有唱功的很少 有才华的更少 基本全靠吹捧上来火一把 捞完钱就下台了 另外在中国翻唱欧美的歌很少 但唱欧美歌曲很多 反观欧美歌手唱中文歌就很少 基本没有 你有兴趣可以搜一下王力宏在牛津的演讲 他说的非常不错 不是中国的流行音乐不行 而是西方人就没听过 他们印象里的中国在流行乐上沾不上什么边 但这也是为什么中国歌手进步飞速的原因 多方面学习进步也快 不过现在中国一部分歌手也没什么水平= =词曲全是别人包办 自己只负责摆造型加上假唱了 一真唱现场就跑音了 跟韩国学习的这套捞金办法貌似很受用简单来讲 你国家各方面强大 肯定会受到别人追捧。
