Knocked up Ive noticed a lot of the negative comments about this title tend to focus on this movies vulgar, stupid humor. Now lets get one thing straight. Knocked Up is vulgar, absolutely it is, but is is not stupid. Stupid humor is crap like "Mr. Woodcock" and "Good Luck Chuck," movies with no real craft to any of their jokes.Knocked Up, on the other hand, is actually pretty clever most of the time. And even the movies vulgarity isnt done in an over-the-top, simply-for-gross-out way (cite the fat bitch from Good Luck Chuck). Its what I guess you could call relevant vulgarity. Anyway, the movie is extremely funny. Every joke is naturalistic, but not expected. The movies characters are all convincing and multi-dimensional, and above all likable. Seth Rogan really does make the movie, though. He is hilarious, but he comes off more like a real nice, frank, down-to-Earth guy. Just the kind of guy youd like to sit down and have a beer with. The kind of guy youd more than like to get smashed with. The kind of guy youd really like to have ill advised unprotected sex with. The kind of guy youd love to raise a bastard child with. Needless to say, hes the reason the movie works. 蝴蝶效应-The Butterfly Effect I saw this intriguing film last night & was quite amaze at how much I enjoyed it.The lead actor Ashton Kutcher, has made a name or himself on a Television show & a few films in comedic roles.In THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT, he gives a superb dramatic turn, I can foresee a big future for this young actor. Very few actors have excelled in both comedies & dramas. To name only 2, GLENN FORD & JACK LEMMON.The female lead is played by Amy Smart, this is a multi part performance & she too is excellent. I have heard her name but cant place her in any film, Mark my word,We will see much more of her,The rest of the cast are actors I did not recognize excerpt fort Eric Stolz, who plays Amys father, The all are excellent.The entire production is first rate all the way through.This is a very complicated story of imagination, some real events & pure fantasy.The last film of this type that impressed me this much was DonNIE DARKO. In fact both films would make a fantastic double bill,BUT it would be hard to sleep the night you saw both.Like Donnie Darko, this is psychedelic fantasy, science fiction,horror story. This type film is rare & very hard to succeed.How the writers were able to put this story together so flawlessly, I dont know, and how the director was able to actualize it, even more amazing. There was plenty of visual stimuli as well as mental stimuli as you waited to see the outcome of each alteration made by the main character, Evan Treborn (Ashton Kutcher).The movie kept me guessing and kept me at the edge of my seat, and the writers outdid themselves by making sure the movie didnt peter out with some lame ending. The ending was icing on the cake and it capped what should be a classic. The Butterfly Effect succeeds on all counts.。

Inception (2010)欧美新片Was it a dream or an idea?he premise is ingenious, and Inception is able to live off its sheer mind-bendiness for the first hour. Dom is a specialist at entering peoples minds and extracting, or in this case, planting information. The dreamworld is so exciting and unpredictable, that the audience couldnt care less about the actual story line. Heres a few problems I find with this genre. Was the whole movie a dream? Or a dream about a dream? Or a parallel universe where people dream about dreaming? I was completely drawn into the initial plot and found it to be engaging. I didnt really care about the action scenes, because I was too engrossed in trying to figure out the deeper meaning. I enjoyed the twenty-minute side shows of car crashes and gun fights but found them to be irrelevant in the bigger picture. I am guessing for some people who dont want to use their brain, that a good old fashion explosion will suffice. I recently watched Leonardo in Shutter Island and wondered if maybe two movies from the same actor of the same genre would be too much. The only thing that Inception had over it were the action scenes. I felt like maybe it was too much of the same thing. What I did enjoy was Doms passion to return to what was important- his children. Themes of guilt, redemption and loss played well to the audience. Really, in the big sceme of things, what really matters in life was returning to them. I know that some people were drawn to the semi-love story between Dom and Mal, as sick as their relationship appeared to be. He seemed to genuinely love her in spite of whatever wacked out stuff he may have planted in her head. The multi-layered themes appeared like a smorgasbord for the audience. What are you looking for? Its in there. The names assigned to each character were an interesting attempt to help the viewer navigate the maze. As I looked a little deeper, it was like peeling an onion. I am not convinced that when I reach the end that there will be anything left but an idea.。
